Poster Abstracts
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the poster session is to:
Share information with your regional neighbors about colorectal cancer prevention and control efforts in your state.
Build a strong network among southeastern professionals who share an interest in colorectal cancer prevention and control.
The poster session is limited to 20 posters. We encourage each state to submit an abstract describing a colorectal cancer project in their region. Focus areas include but are not limited to:
Technological innovation
Health policy and advocacy
Health equity
Screening: community-based and/or clinic-based
Early onset colorectal cancer
Health education and behavior modification
Fertility management and sexual health
Comprehensive patient care
Patient navigation
FORMAT:
Abstracts should include:
An introduction including the purpose and/or objective of the work.
A brief description of methodology, if the abstract describes research.
A summary of the information to be presented in the poster; including activities, major results, and conclusions.
Up to five key words (added during abstract submission).
The abstract should not exceed 250 words (not including the title and subheadings).
Submission Deadline is Friday February 27th, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Acceptance decisions will be sent by March 28, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Mark Macauda: Macauda@mailbox.sc.edu.
Posters will be on display during the 2026 SECRCC conference. The Consortium will offer one award: Best Overall Poster Award which will be announced during the conference.
